Kenilworth Wardens backed up their cup success against Nuneaton Borough with a resounding league win over a depleted Coventry Polonia.
Wardens started better and came close to scoring from Edmunds, Beck, Legg and Taylor, but some great goalkeeping Wardens at bay.
Twice Polonia had a chance to take the led, a one-on-one was dragged wide and another was saved by Andy Whitehouse in the Kenilworth goal.
Wardens reached halftime with the score level and knowing that their performance had been poor. But technical adjustments made all the difference in the second half.
On 50 minutes, Evans played Edmunds down the left wing, whose cross evaded the Polonia keeper and defenders with Andy Legg able to tap in.
Within two minutes Wardens had doubled their led, Edmunds again involved.
Wardens high press led to Edmunds winning the ball back in the Polonia final third, his shot was saved but captain Sam Taylor was on hand to tap the ball home.
On 55 minutes Wardens made it three.
Edmunds pulling the ball back, Taylor stepping over the ball allowing Legg a free shot from 12 yards. Legg's scuffed shot found it's way to 17-year-old Louie Beck at the edge of the six yard box to smartly pass it home into the top corner.
Wardens continued to dominate and added to their lead on 70 minutes. A high press forced a poor pass to Edmunds who travelled with the ball into the box before stroking it into the bottom corner.
Wardens made it six on 80 minutes when Edmunds got down the left and crossed to Legg. Legg's initial shot and his back heel on the rebound were saved but the ball fell to substitute Josh Loan-Clarke to calmly pass into the top corner.
With a couple of minutes to play wardens scored their seventh.
A superb long ball by Whitehouse fed Edmunds for a one-on-one. Polonia's keeper pulled off a brilliant save but Taylor followed in to tap in his second of the game.
Speaking after the game first team manager Eamonn Richards said: "Firstly getting a clean sheet for the first time in 12 games is something I'm really happy with.
"Secondly, first half we were really rubbish.
"We were the better side because we have better players but our play was awful. But at half time I talked to players about; how I want us to press, told them to stopping crossing and start playing shorter passes to keep the ball.
"I also told them to start following in shots on goal. And what I love about this group of lads is that they always listen to those instructions and the second half proved that."
