Kenilworth Wardens' promotion hopes were boosted as they put four past fourth-placed Fillongley in a top of the table clash.
Fillongley, who hadn't lost since September, came into the game nine points behind Kenilworth but with three games in hand.
Wardens started better of the two sides to start, with Guy Pearson and Ben Edmunds creating chances but being unable to finish.
In the opening 30 minutes Wardens defence snuffed any Fillongley attack before they got into their final third.
Wardens did take a deserved lead on 30 minutes. Player-manager Eamonn Richards corner was pushed onto the excellent Ash Saines, who volleyed home.
Just before the break brilliant build up play down the left from young Louie Beck released Pearson, Pearson beat two players and shot, the save was followed in by Ben Edmunds.
However, it was disallowed for offside, despite the flag going up extremely late.
Wardens started the second half as they ended the first, dominating with no chance at conceding a shot on goal. On 55 minutes a rare cross was put into the wardens box.
Andy Whitehouse claimed the ball, then immediately put a 70yard perfect pass into the channel for Pearson to chase.
Pearson beat his man and cut back for Edmunds to volley home from 12 yards out to give Wardens a deserved 2-0 lead.
On 65 minutes birthday-boy James Butler's through ball was cut out mb the Fillongley keeper 30 yards out, Dan Twigger pressed the keeper, who danced around Twigger.
However before he could clear it, Twigger got his toe to ball, poking it away from the keeper and slotted into the empty net for 3-0 from 30 yards.
Wardens made it four on 80 minutes.
Josh Loan-Clarke won a tackle in midfield, falling to Richards, whose sublime through ball left Edmunds an easy task of passing into the net.
The goal leaves Richards on 12 assist for the year and was Edmunds seventh goal in just three starts.
Wardens had another disallowed goal a few minutes later. However there was relief and laugher as Richards goal was disallowed for offside.
Speaking after the game he said: "It's a big win and a big day. Based on our knowledge of the Coventry Alliance, finishing in the top two (three of Triumph Reserves are there) will be enough to get into the Premier.
"Ironically it wasn't the game I was expecting, they were not the same team we drew with a few weeks ago and were clearly missing the quality they had a few weeks before.
"We had a lot of players missing today, but the players who did play really stepped up. Josh loan-Clarke and Louie Beck were excellent. Ben Edmunds came back from uni to score some goals.
"Confident of promotion, fourth clean sheet in eight games, only losing one in the last 10, pretty happy as a manager."
