Following a dip in form which saw them take just five points from a possible 15, Kenilworth Sporting bounced back with an impressive away display against Bolehall Swifts.

A brace from Jack Low added to Dave Freeman's 12th minute opener to secure a vital three points for the travelling Kenilworth.

Kenilworth arrived at Rene Road in worst form than their hosts, with Bolehall - although in a relegation battle - having only conceded three goals in their previous five games.

But a change in formation and debuts for three players made it an enjoyable day for the management team at Kenilworth.

Chris Green made his full debut after signing from Haughmond and new signing Luke Burnley put in a man of the match performance after his move from BGS.

Whilst 17-year-old Tom Ramsey impressed off the bench.

"We were bitterly disappointed with the dip in form in our last two games which had put any chance of promotion gone for this season," said manager Martin Ascroft.

"After speaking to Luke and Dan, my assistants, we felt it right to make a few decisions in our line up and players and it seem to work in the right way.

"The Bolehall gaffa was extremely complementary about how we dominated the game and our persistence in playing to our game plan throughout the 90mins.

"We have a week off next week which is disappointing but we have the league champions up the week after that at Gypsy Lane where we will be hoping to inflict their first defeat of their season. We drew 0-0 at their place where in my opinion we could have nicked it."
