Teenager Katie Farrell made history on Sunday as she became the first female player to feature in a senior Kenilworth Cricket Club side since the club's ladies team folded in the 1930's.

The 16-year-old capped a fine debut against Barford as she took 2-18 in the side's 57-run win.

Fellow debutant, Yougunn Prakasm Kumar also took 2-14.

Batting first, the Town posted 241 for eight as in form youngster Joe Tate made 74 and Dhruv Vyas a hard hitting 71 as the pair put on 138-run fourth wicket partnership.

Colt, Louis Smithson, also chipped in with 24.

Andrew O'Reilly took three wickets and Henderson two for Barford.

In reply, opener Higgins made 52, Morgan 37,  Tobin 23 and Paterson 20 in the Barford total of 184.

But the day will be remembered for Farrell making history and for Yougunn's debut.
