Booker's batting brilliance sees Kenilworth triumphant over Handsworth

Tom Booker's impressive 66 runs from 56 balls helped Kenilworth Cricket Club seal a 13-run win over Handsworth in their Warwickshire Cricket League Division One clash this Saturday.
Kenilworth posted 193 for nine from their innings as Booker and Joe Atkinson (21) combined for a 91-run first wicket.
Adie Sellar then hit a further 23 runs and Shingler 21, as Afzal took 3-34 and Abbabaka 2-33 for the hosts.
Skipper Connor Shingler then wrapped up the match as he took 4-35 from his 7.1 overs as Handsworth were bowled out for 180.
Handsworth's Buchanan (34) and Hooper added 64 runs for their fifth wicket before Kapil Dubey, who took 3-30 in the middle order for Kenilworth, removed Buchanan.
Hooper went onto make 72 to give the side hope but Shingler trapped him LBW and then went through the tail to wrap up a good win for Kenilworth.
Steve Rhodes and Atkinson took a wicket each with a run out accounting for the other wicket to fall.
Kenilworth 2nd XI v. Nether Whitacre
The second XI claimed a comfortable 64 runs win over Nether Whitacre as teenager Shyaan Imam top scored with 39 as he shared in an opening 57-run partnership with Dave Edmunds (31).
Imam then combined with Adam Huxford (26) to add 47 runs for the third wicket.
Charlie Stranks (33 not out) and Jono Sparks (12 not out) then added 39 runs to post the side's 186 for five.
This despite Smith taking 2-27 and Murphy 2-41 for the visitors.
Titmus then hit 42 for Nether Whitacre with Murphy adding 19 and Turner 10. However, the side were bowled out for 122 inside 35 overs as spinners Tom Skinner wrapped up the match taking 3-23. His wickets coming in a nine-ball burst.
Stranks had taken 3-37 and Sam Leach 2-15, with seamers Josh Charlwood and Sparks earlier picking up a wicket each in a solid all round team performance.
Kenilworth 3rd XI v. Alvechurch & Hopwood
Kenilworth maintained control of the Cotswold Hills Cricket League Division Six and their promotion hopes with a fine six-wicket win over Alvechurch & Hopwood as they chased down 160 with six wickets in hand.
Evans had hit 36, Harris 33 and Rowns an unbeaten 27 for Alvechurch as they finished on 160 for seven.
Matt Dadswell picked up 2-18 from his eight overs and James Sparks 2-28 with Dhruv Vyas, Louis Smithson and Christian Mortlock taking a wicket each for Kenilworth.
In reply, youngster Keeran Umashanker (46 not out) and Peter Huxford (18) set Kenilworth on their way as the pair put on 50 runs for the side's second wicket.
Umashanker and fellow teenager Yash Joshi (44) then put on a further 72 runs together for the third wicket. This just left James Adamson (14 not out) to hit the winning runs with a boundary as the side reached 162 for four with 15 balls to spare.
Kenilworth's thirds have just three matches left to secure the title.
