Up to £110,000 could be spent installing more solar panels at Castle Farm Leisure Centre, a council report has revealed.
Warwick District Council's cabinet will this week discuss the spend for Kenilworth's leisure centre alongside similar works for St Nicholas Park in Warwick.
Council planners have already signed off on the works at Castle Farm, which will see more panels added to those already in place.
A report to be discussed on Thursday (November 27) stated £110,000 has already been ring fenced for the Kenilworth site.
This funding has come through section 106 agreements - money raised from local housing developers.
"£110,000 of Section 106 funding is currently ring fenced for expenditure at Castle Farm, the application said.
"Increasing the size of the existing PV array is considered appropriate use of this money.
"It was initially intended that the installation at Castle Farm would be funded via a loan from Heart of England Community Energy.
"Alternatively, funding the installation using reserves reduces borrowing.
"Furthermore, WDC will benefit from the retention of an increased proportion of financial savings resulting from a reduction in onsite purchased electricity usage."
A timeline for the proposed works has not been set.
