Works to repair Kenilworth's war memorial which was damaged in a "careless" crash earlier this year will start this week.
Warwick District Council has confirmed the works will be finished in time for Remembrance Sunday.
The memorial at Abbey End was hit by a car in April, leaving both the railings and the stonework damaged.
A man was arrested for drink driving after the incident, and the railings have since been removed.
A district council statement said: "We'll be carrying out repair work on the War Memorial in Abbey Fields, Kenilworth at the end of this week due to damage that was caused earlier this year.
"These repair works will be completed in time for Remembrance Day."
Recently, town councillors were told there were two options for repairing the memorial.
The first option is a more minor repair to the joints in the stonework and the steps, filling them with mortar.
The second is to "fully dismantle" the memorial's stonework in order to restore it comprehensively.
The latter was described as a "considerable task" with option one seen as a more "pragmatic approach".
Repairs to the railings around the memorial are expected to be completed before the memorial itself is mended.
