A Kenilworth theatre has announced details of just its second stage performance since the start of the pandemic.

The Talisman Theatre's first play of 2022 will be Terence Rattigan's portrait of emotional turmoil in post-war Britain – The Deep Blue Sea.

The production, which begins with the discovery of Hester Collyer after a failed suicide attempt, will take place between Monday 7 February to Saturday 12.

Well-know local actress Julie Ann Randall takes the lead as Hester in her first production since Shirley Valentine in 2019.

Directed by John Dawson, the play takes place over the course of a day and is set in a Ladbroke Grove flat in late 1940's London.

By the end the audience understand why, on waking, Hester describes herself as "caught between the devil and the deep blue sea".

Visit the Talisman website for more information and to book tickets. Or telephone 01926 856548 or 0333 666 3366
