A Punjabi grill and sizzler restaurant which opened in Kenilworth at the end of last year has been forced to temporarily close.

Hot Tava welcomed guests for the first time at the start of November, after months of refurbishment at the Abbey End eatery.

Formerly Ciao Bella, the restaurant was completely transformed by owners Amarjit and Jess Kullar, promising to appeal to the 'Instagram generation'.

However, a post on social media this week announced the temporary closure.

It simply said: "Hot Tava is closed until further notice due to essential maintenance work.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The restaurant did not state how long it will be closed for.

Just weeks after opening, Hot Tava held a 'relaunch night' as a new management team took over.

Hot Tava has been approached for comment.
