New Punjabi grill and sizzler restaurant officially opens in Kenilworth
A new Punjabi grill and sizzler restaurant is fully booked for its first three nights after officially opening today (November 2).
Hot Tava has welcomed diners for the first time today, after months of renovations at the Abbey End eatery.
Formerly Ciao Bella, the restaurant has been completely transformed, promising to appeal to the 'Instagram generation'.
Hot Tava is owned and run by brothers Amarjit and Jess Kullar, who run Lil Greens - also in Abbey End.
The pair said they believe the people of Kenilworth "deserve something a little new and different".
"We are very excited to open," they told Nub News last month.
"This project has been many months in the making and the results are certainly starting to show, the response so far has been phenomenal.
"The residents of Kenilworth always embrace new, independent businesses and are a very loyal clientele."
Over the past six months the brothers have been renovating the space to create the town's "hottest new venue".
"We think the décor is completely different to any other restaurants," they added.
"We also plan to have live performers on at the venue closer to Christmas just to spice things up a little."
And with locals now being able to see the menu for the first time, the brothers said they have tried to create something different to what is currently available in Kenilworth.
"The present crop of Indian restaurants in Kenilworth are fairly traditional and we wanted to bring something more relatable to the 'Instagram' generation," they added.
"Diners can expect delicious Indian food but with a Punjabi Street Food twist.
"Sizzling platters and grilled meats being a speciality of the house."
