The number of appointments at Kenilworth's Cherry Orchard recycling centre have increased by a third.

Following reorganisation at the the county's nine recycling centres, up to 5,000 more appointments are now available each week across Warwickshire.

New slots are now available, just in time for the start of the school summer holidays, and can still be booked online.

Operated by Warwickshire County Council, the county's recycling centres will now expand to 21,000 15-minute slots per week.

Councillor Heather Timms, portfolio holder for environment, climate and culture said: "The Warwickshire waste team have worked with Public Health to reorganise our nine recycling centres so that we can offer a third more appointments each week from the start of the school summer holidays.

"Parking spaces have been rearranged so that we can offer more slots per 15 minutes but still allow plenty of space for visitors to move around. I want to thank householders in Warwickshire, who continue to separate out recycling at home and at the recycling centres, increasing recycling rates."
