Free tickets are now available for a live screening of King Charles III's coronation at Kenilworth Castle this May.

The King will be crowned, alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort, on Saturday, 6 May.

Kenilworth Castle is one of three English Heritage properties planning to show the event on big screens, alongside Brodsworth Hall and Gardens in Yorkshire and Osborne House on the Isle of Wight.

The free event will begin at 10am, with tickets available now online.

The screen will be set up in the stables area, allowing around 2,000 people to attend.

Kenilworth Town Council, which is helping organise the event, is planning to run a shuttle bus to and from the castle to avoid congestion.

Paul Robson, head of events at English Heritage said: "With millions of people expected to tune in from around the world, we wanted to create an opportunity to celebrate with us at one of our historic sites where history was made.

"Pack a picnic blanket, bring friends and family and join us to witness this once-in-a-generation occasion."

KTC had already said it wants to make sure the town is not "left behind" with the celebrations.

The council has also helped to arrange another event at the castle on Sunday, May 7 which will see school choirs join together for performances between 10am and 11am

During the rest of the Sunday the large screen will show three separate films.

Kenilworth Castle is also set to have a wildflower meadow planted to mark the coronation.
