Kenilworth planning roundup: New bridge, vets and stables to de demolished

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.

Bridge Build

HS2 has revealed designs for a new bridge which will carry Dalehouse Lane over the new rail line.

The works, which will cause the road into Kenilworth closed for up to 14 months, will eventually see a three-span overbridge built.

A three-metre wide cycleway will also be integrated into the structure.

New Vets

A planning application to turn an industrial unit in Kenilworth into a vets has been given the green light by council planners.

'Kenilworth Vets' has been given planning permission for a series of changes at the Bridge Works to repurpose the former furniture workshop.

New signage, entrance, doors and glazing have all been given the green light as the Farmer Ward Road scheme moves forward.

Stable Foundations

A set of stables in Stoneleigh could be demolished to make way for 20 new homes, if plans are signed off by the district council.

Amare Estates Limited has applied for planning permission for the development off Stoneleigh Road, which would be next to a massive development of 2,500 houses and a new primary school which has already received planning permission.

If approved, the scheme would see six, two-bed and two, three-bed affordable homes built. The rest would be a mix of three, four and five-bed market properties.
