Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.

Castle Paths

Paths in and around Kenilworth Castle are set to be revamped after planning permission was signed off by Warwick District Council.

English Heritage - which manages the historic attraction - said the walkways needed to be resurfaced and in some cases widened.

The charity said the works will benefit the 118,000 people who visit the castle each year - as well as local dog walkers.

Furniture Firm

An outdoor furniture company has applied for permission to redevelop its depot on the outside of Kenilworth as the business eyes expansion.

Woodberry Outdoor Furniture has submitted plans to Warwick District Council to demolish its existing offices and warehouses on Bericote Road to make space for bigger storage space and new offices.

Run by the Barr family, the business supplies pubs, hotels, holiday parks, golf clubs, tourist attractions, universities, councils and schools.

Demolition Saga

A "quirky" Kenilworth house which has been subject to multiple applications to be demolished - including one which remains ongoing - has been put on the market.

Town councillors recently said they had no reason to object to the latest scheme to redevelop no 151 Warwick Road, which could see the home knocked down to make way for two new houses.

The application was the latest in a string of attempts to repurpose the house and the neighbouring Peacock Hotel.
