Town councillors have thanked the community for its huge response to a consultation which could shape the future of Castle Green car park.
Kenilworth Town Council asked for feedback on the land by Kenilworth Castle at the end of 2025, with the discussion becoming a "hot topic on social media".
By the end of last week, some 970 responses had been received.
Speaking at last week's council meeting, Cllr Richard Dickson said: "The council should thank all the residents and the non-residents who have taken part in the survey.
"It is a huge number.
"It will make the analysis of the responses a really big job, but an important job.
"[There were] more responses on the Castle Green survey than the county council got on its service priorities."
The consultation asked locals how frequently they use the piece of land, what they use it for and what impact parking charges would have.
Works to fill in the potholes at Castle Green have also been scheduled.
Residents have until January 23 to respond to the survey.
Responses will be analysed and a proposal for next steps is expected to be discussed at the next town council meeting.
