New Kenilworth bike racks installed in wrong place

One of the two new bicycle racks in Kenilworth has been installed in the wrong place by council contractors.
A concrete slab was laid outside Abbey Medical Centre last week but not where it was meant to be.
Warwick District Council is now having to decide whether to rip up the Station Road slab or to just leave it where it is.
Speaking at last week's Kenilworth Town Council meeting, Cllr Andrew Milton said: "You might have noticed the concrete slab outside the surgery.
"You may also be interested to know it has been laid in slightly the wrong place.
"Some work is now being done by district council to work out whether it will impact tree roots and whether they are going to need to move that."
Another bike rack is due to be installed at Abbey End near to where the weekly market is usually held.
In a statement to Nub News, the council said: "Warwick District Council can confirm that a new set of covered cycle stands will be installed at Abbey End Medical Centre.
"Unfortunately our contractor placed the concrete base a couple of meters further away from the car park than originally intended.
"We therefore paused works to check that this did not bring the installation too close to a tree.
"It's now be confirmed that we can proceed and installation work should begin shortly."
