A planning application for 330 new homes in Hockley Heath has been submitted to Warwick District Council.

Developer Taylor Wimpey has submitted the plans for Aylesbury Road following "extensive community consultation".

Up to 50 per cent of the proposed new homes will be affordable, including homes for social rent and shared ownership.

The scheme also includes public open space, play areas, community garden and footpaths.

Stephen Swinscoe, Strategic Land Regional Director at Taylor Wimpey, said: "We are grateful to everyone who took part in our consultation earlier in the year, and we are pleased to have now submitted our outline plans to Warwick District Council for consideration.

"It is clear from feedback that local infrastructure is among the priorities for people in Hockley Heath and Lapworth.

"We anticipate that our plans will provide a significant package of infrastructure investment, and we are committed to working with the local authorities to ensure this is directed where it's needed most.

"We look forward to continuing to engage with the local community as our plans develop."
