Covid-19 booster jabs reach 90,000 in Warwick district

By James Smith 31st Jan 2022

Over 91,000 people in Warwick district have now received Covid-19 booster vaccinations, as the total number of jabs in the area nears 320,000.

In the last month a further 11,000 boosters have been given to Warwick district residents, as the programme begins to wind down.

In Kenilworth this means over 73 per cent of people aged 12 or over have received a booster vaccination.

Vaccine numbers by area (as of January 29):

- Kenilworth West: 84.3 per cent second dose / 73.4 per cent booster

- Kenilworth South: 87.9 per cent second dose / 76.9 per cent booster

- Kenilworth East: 87.8 per cent second dose / 75.6 per cent booster

With the local roll out slowing down, the vaccination hub at Warwick Hospital has now closed.

But patients are still not allowed visitors as infection rates remain high.
