The owner of a new aesthetic medicine clinic in Kenilworth has said she has already had a lot of interest in her services from locals, just weeks after setting up shop.

Shine Medical Cosmetic Clinic opened on Warwick Road in April, offering a range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments.

Run by Dr Shyna Raj - who left her job in the NHS to train in the field of aesthetic medicine - the business is focused on supporting clients achieve their goals but without having to break the bank for it.

"Non-surgical cosmetic treatments are becoming more popular than ever these days," she told Nub News.

"Previously people would have gone under the knife but now you can have a treatment which is more affordable, has excellent results and with very little down time.

"We have already had a lot of interest from clients.

"The clinic has a lot of footfall, and is in a prime location, which is leading to a lot of enquiries and people coming for treatments."

Having recently written for Nub News about the importance of skin care in the sun, Dr Shyna is also now offering a range of packages to help clients 'Get Ready for the Beech'.

Powersculpt treatments are available in the packages - offering the equivalent to 20,000 crunches in just a half hour session.

The treatment, which is popular with many celebrities, comes with no down time afterwards and some of her patients even come in during their lunch breaks or even continue working while being treated.

But Dr Shyna explained the packages are far more than just about looking good in the sun.

"We are thinking of people going to the beach, going on holiday," she explained.

"Of course people want to look good and confident, which we can help with, especially with the powersculpting. But also we want to make sure people are safe.

"Of course sun protection is really important here, so we are including creams and vitamin serums which are super important. Tanning is not great for your skin, so looking after yourself is vital."

And Dr Shyna - who spent over a year training at Harley Academy London to gain her level 7 postgraduate qualification in injectables and cosmetic dermatology - is also encouraging people to find out more about High Intensity Focused Ultrasound treatments.

The procedure uses sound waves to promote tissue growth in the face and neck which over a few weeks helps loose skin to tighten.

"This is really becoming increasingly popular," she added.

"It is really effective and of course there is no down time.

"People like that they can see the effects quickly, without having to pay lots of money or go under the knife.

"It is a really satisfying treatment for me because you can see how much it helps boost people's confidence afterwards.
