A popular Kenilworth eatery has applied for permission to keep its outside seating.

The Station House at Poms has applied for a new pavement licence from Warwick District Council.

The Station Road eatery - which rebranded from Pomeroy's Bistro this year - has asked to keep its eight tables and 16 seats on the pavement outside.

If approved the plans would allow The Station House to keep the seating for another two years.

The application says the tables would be used from 9am to 10pm on Tuesdays to Thursday, from 9am to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

The restaurant sits on Station Road which Warwickshire County Council signed off on plans to permanently shut the end of in 2023 after two years of a temporary closure.

Seating and new planters have since been installed on the closed section, but any bigger plans for improvement are yet to come forward.

Kenilworth Town Council recently identified Station Road as a key issue in terms of improving accessibility for disabled people in the town centre.

Following the success of previous events, The Station House will now be hosting regular DJ events on the second Saturday of every month.
