Kenilworth Wardens are in a "really good place" ahead of their Senior Nursing Cup semi-final this Wednesday (February 19).

The Coventry Alliance Premier outfit will face off against Coventry Phoenix under the lights at Gypsy Lane as they eye yet another cup final.

Having changed much of their squad this season, Wardens have had a mixed campaign, but did beat Friday's opponents when the two sides clashed in December.

And ahead of Wednesday's floodlight fixture, Kenilworth player-manager Eamonn Richards called on locals to come down and cheer on his side.

"Coventry Phoenix are an excellent side and hoping it'll be a really good game to watch," he told Nub News.

"This season we've had to change majority of our players and have a group of young, talented and genuinely great group of lads which has meant it's a massive learning curve, however we're in a really good place at the moment with some excellent recent performances, especially defensively where we've kept three clean sheets out the last four. 

"It would be amazing to have as many people down as possible, we've always performed in front of a crowd and especially it being in Kenilworth would love to get the edge with the local support! 

"All the money for entry goes to charity which is really important for us too as a club."

The other semi final will see Brinklow take on Shilton FC on February 26.
