Kenilworth Wardens Sunday side remain unbeaten after coming back from 3-1 down at half time to draw with an excellent Cubbington Albion side.

Cubbington took the lead through the impressive Ryan Yearsley.

On 15 minutes Wardens won a penalty. Harry Morris' shot hit the post and as the ball came back to him he was clattered into by a Cubbington defender resulting in another spot kick.

On the second attempt Morris converted the penalty himself to equalise.

Billy Gatfield restored Cunbington's lead on the 20th minute with a long range effort before Yearsley got his second, 10 minutes before half time, with a decisive break away from a Wardens corner.

Three substitutions at half time for the Wardens added energy to their performance and it was Toby Wells that benefitted from this.

Wells' first goal was a lob over the onrushing keeper after a fine through fall from Joe Feraz on 60 minutes.

The equaliser then came on the 85 minute when Wells got his 10th of the season with a towering header at the back post after a brilliant cross from Harrison Wright.

"Cubbington Albion are an excellent side and I'm delighted we were able to compete with them. The lads of the bench in the second 45 completely changed the game. I'm chuffed we remain unbeaten," said Wardens manager Paddy Breslin after the match.
