Kenilworth Wardens Sunday side came from behind to beat Whitnash and keep the pressure on at the top of the table.
The two teams previously met a fortnight ago, with the hotly contested game ending 1-1.
Wardens knew that they just needed to win their final seven games to win the league.
Whitnash started the better of the two sides, dominating midfield without creating chances.
Despite Wardens improving after 20 minutes, Whitnash were still on top and got a deserved goal on 35 minutes.
A long ball forward wasn't dealt with by the Wardens defence and the Whitnash striker hit home from 25 yards out, leaving Wardens' keeper no chance.
With his side behind at half time manager Paddy Breslin made his displeasure clear to his players and stressed that a better second half performance was needed.
And the introduction of Harry Morris, Andy Whitehouse and Josh Loan-Clarke made an immediate impact.
Morris created the equaliser on 50 minutes when brought the ball down on the halfway line and played a superb ball through to Toby Wells who beat the keeper and lobbed him from 30 yards.
Wardens quickly took the lead five minutes later.
Morris was once again involved when he laid the ball off to Harrison Wright 20 yards out. Wright did the rest, running across three Whitnash players before hammering the ball into the top corner from outside the box.
Wardens could and should have made it 3-1 with chances falling to Wright and Wells but neither managed to hit the target.
Morris nearly scored from 20 yards out with his shot beating the keeper but crashing against the crossbar.
Whitnash didn't give up and did press for an equaliser, however man of the match, veteran James Carro limited chances for Whitnash.
The two times Whitnash did get past wardens defence, the poor finishing meant Wardens' keeper didn't need to make a save.
The game ended 2-1 with Wardens second half performance meaning they were worthy of the win.
Breslin said after the game: "We've had three excellent, very competitive matches against Whitnash this season.
"They've taken points from the best teams in the division and you can see why.
"Our lads got a bit of a rollicking at half time and came out for the second half with a much better energy."
