Kenilworth Sporting cruised into the last eight of the Coventry Charity Cup as they put eight past Triumph Athletic at Gypsy Lane.
Sporting manager Martin Ascroft was "delighted" with the result, particular with a possible upset on the cards in playing lower league opposition.
"Over the years of playing and managing in this competition, when Midland Football League teams face Coventry Alliance sides the potential for an upset is massive so we were always going to be giving Triumph our utmost respect," he said.
A hat-trick from Mason Platts and a brace from Harry Wilson added to goals from Jason Evans, Cameron Welch and Jadhav for the hosts.
And with a clean sheet for the defence it was the perfect result for Sporting.
Ascroft added: "I'm delighted with how my young team dealt with the expectations and we tried to keep up our standards throughout the 90 minutes."
"Having won this competition in my previous managerial posts, it's a fantastic event staged by the Coventry charity committee, looking forward to the next round now. "
