The third day of fixtures for Kenilworth Cricket Club this bank holiday weekend saw their A and B sides take on Warwick and Stoneleigh respectively.

KCC endured two rough days of matches this weekend, with two out of three Saturday sides losing (the third game being rained off), and both their Sunday sides also failing to post a result the day after.

Kenilworth Cricket Club sent out two teams this Sunday in the hopes of redeeming to poor results of the Saturday sides this weekend.

Both the Saturday firsts and the seconds lost for KCC this weekend, whilst the friendly match for the thirds was cancelled, in what proved to be a frustrating day for the club.

The firsts hosted Berkswell 2's, whom they had defeated earlier in the season, whilst the seconds travelled to Hunningham for what turned out to be a disappointing match.

Kenilworth's Sunday XI faced Himbleton in their Sunday friendly fixture yesterday.

Himbleton 170-7 (40 overs) lost to Kenilworth 172-0 (33.2 overs) by 10 wickets, as Kenilworth's opening batsmen excelled between the wickets.

Kenilworth 1st. XI v. Leamington 2nd. XI

Leamington seconds 196-7 (45 overs) lost to Kenilworth 198-3 (44 overs) by 7 wickets yesterday in their WCCL South East Group A match.

Bablake Old Boys 55-10 (21.2 overs) lost the Kenilworth Sunday XI 56-2 (16.2 overs) by 8 wickets in this Sunday's 40-over friendly match.

Bablake crashed to 55 all-out against good Kenilworth bowling with, extras (17 of them) being the top scorer for the Old Boys, as none of their batsmen made double figures.

Rain was to affect the play for both the firsts and the thirds for Kenilworth Cricket Club this Saturday, with only the seconds being able to play in normal conditions.

Despite the adverse weather, the firsts and the thirds both enjoyed further positive results.
