3. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime

Stories of Kenilworth feature heavily in a new book by a first-time author who is debuting her new work in the town later this month.

Local gymkhana events, Kenilworth Castle and Crackley Woods all feature in My Cracker-Jack Adventures by Hannah Sharpe.

Published earlier this year by Olympia Publishing, the book is a memoir about a childhood dream of owning a pony and the path to turning that dream into a reality and the love, laughter and chaos that followed.

Hannah is set to head to Kenilworth Books in Talisman Square on Saturday 26 September to sign copies of her book and to meet readers.

4. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime

Kenilworth's Talisman Theatre is set to bring 'one of the most acclaimed plays of recent years to the stage' this Autumn with 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time', Simon Stephens' remarkable adaptation of Mark Haddon's best-selling novel.

The production also marks the directorial debut of Sharon Sully, who takes on one of contemporary theatre's most imaginative and emotionally powerful plays for her first production in the director's chair.

The play became a theatrical phenomenon when the National Theatre's original production transferred to the West End, winning an extraordinary seven Olivier Awards, including Best New Play, Best Director and Best Actor.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time runs at The Talisman Theatre from Monday 28 September to Saturday 3 October 2026 at 7:30pm.

5. Sip & Paint

The fun continues at The Almanack which is hosting a Cheese and Wine night on September 30.

Priced at £29.95, the event will run for two hours and give guests the chance to try a selection of cheeses and wines.
