Kenilworth Cricket Club's Sunday side got their Arden Sunday League campaign off to the best possible start as they beat Corley by nine wickets yesterday.

The away side set a run total of just 111 as they were bowled out in 33 overs, giving Kenilworth (112 for one) a comfortable target to reach.

Only Falconer (27), Khan (25), Parker (19) and Blowers (11) managed to reach double figures for Corley as the side struggled against an on song Kenilworth bowling line up.

Young leg spinner, Dan Roden, was the home side's pick taking a frugal two for eight off 4.5 overs. Will Machin took two for 13, Darius Potten-Ravenshad two for 29 whilst Matt Casey and Keeran Umashanker took a wicket each.

In reply, Kenilworth cantered to a comfortable win as openers Dan Horner and Adam Huxford put on a 100 together for the first wicket before Huxford was cruelly run out for 49.

Horner hit four boundaries whilst Huxford hit three fours and two sixes.

Horner remained unbeaten on 48 as he and Henry Curran (three not out) saw the side to 112-1 inside 29 overs to kick off their Sunday League in winning ways.
