Kenilworth Cricket Club's Sunday XI beat Harborne by 83 runs this weekend thanks to a fine display by Dan Horner.

The 40 overs a side friendly was hosted by Kenilworth who posted 219 for five in their innings. Harborne were only able to muster 136 for 10 as they were bowled out with six overs to spare.

Horner was in sparkling form with the bat for Kenilworth as he hit 100 before retiring. He hit 13 boundaries and shared in a third wicket partnership of 72 runs with Adam Huxford who made 22.

Matt Casey then added an unbeaten 30 as he and young Dan Roden (16) put on a further 55 for the side's total.

Little took two for 39 for the visitors.

In reply Harborne were bowled out in the 34th over. Only Sharique (53), Nayiu (22) and Raif (22) made double figures for the visitors.

Matt Casey took a fine three for nine from his five overs, Machin two for 29 and Roden two for 37. It was then left to Huxford to wrap up the win as he claimed the last wicket in his three-ball spell.
