All three Kenilworth Cricket Club Saturday sides were in action over the bank holiday weekend, without any of them securing a victory.

The firsts and thirds travelled to play Hampton and Solihull and Elmey whilst the seconds hosted Knowle.

Kenilworth CC 1st. XI v. Hampton & Solihull

Hosts Hampton & Solihull (163 for 10) drew with Kenilworth (142 for nine) in their WCCL match this Saturday.

The home side had the better in a drawn game as Kenilworth hung on to deny them victory in a low scoring affair.

Hampton posted 163 for 10, with opener Roy top scoring with 52. Friend made 38 and Hongan 22.

Matt Casey was Kenilworth's most successful bowler snapping up four for 20 from five tidy overs. There were wickets apiece for Kapil Dubey, Steve Rhodes, Joe Atkinson and Connor Shingler.

In reply, Kenilworth lost their opener without scoring, but Tom Booker (37) and Chris Prophet (16) put on 54 for the second wicket in a solid partnership.

Once they were broken however, the side could not make inroads into the target.

The last pair batted out the last couple of overs as the side ended on 142 for nine to deny Hampton victory.

Keyte took five for 33, Khan two for 24 and Long two for 32 for the hosts.

Emley proved far too strong for Kenilworth in their opening league fixture as they posted a stiff 223 for seven with Richardson hitting 96, Meredith 29 and Bailey 18.

Their score was boosted with 55 extras of which wides accounted for 34 as the Kenilworth bowlers struggled with their line.

Kenilworth found runs hard to come by despite a solid 31 from Dhruv Vyas and 21 from Umashanker as the side were bowled out in the last over for 131.
