Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. Kenilworth Show

Coventry and Warwickshire's largest agricultural show is preparing for a huge half-term turnout, with this year's bumper crop of exciting displays and exhibitors set to impress all ages.

The Kenilworth Show will return to the site near Stoneleigh which welcomed a near-record attendance last year, and organisers have revealed a jam-packed line-up for this year's edition on Saturday, June 3 2023.

More than 125 trade stands will also feature at the 2023 show with a wide range arts and crafts, jewellery and homeware, as well as artisan breads and pies all available in the marquee.

Free tickets are available for under 16s, and families can also bring along well-behaved dogs and even enter them into the dog show, which starts at midday.

2. Talisman Fringe

Having celebrated its first anniversary last month, Talisman Fringe returns to the Holiday Inn tonight (June 1) for another evening of short performances.

The night will be inspired by the works of William Shakespeare, entitled 'Bits of the Bard'.

With shows at 7.30pm and 9pm, each performance will begin with a short play 'Body Language' which sees a pair of actors get a little frazzled during their rehearsals.

This will be followed by 'Comedic Shakespeare Duologues' and then 'Will's Dramaturg' during which the Bard has a planning meeting with his agent!

More details here.

3. Naturewatch Week

And the market on Saturday also marks the start of the third annual Kenilworth Naturewatch week!

Running until June 4 the week will see a host of free events organised, aimed at getting locals out in nature and learning about the world around them.

Many of the popular events from the last two years - including stream dipping, bat walks and nature trails - will be returning, as well as some new features for 2023!

4. Cinema

And there is more on at the Talisman Theatre this Saturday in the form of its latest cinema offering.

The Barrow Road venue will host 'The Banshees of Inisherin' from 7.30pm.

The recipient of nine Oscar nominations and the 2023 BAFTA best film award, the film is set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland.

It follows lifelong friends Padraic and Colm, who find themselves at an impasse when Colm unexpectedly puts an end to their friendship.
