Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. Half Marathon

Kenilworth Half Marathon returns for its 23rd instalment on Sunday (September 10).

The annual event - organised by Kenilworth Runners - will see over 600 runners take to the local streets.

The route will take competitors from the centre of town, on a single lap from the town centre down to Beausale and back.

This year's event will also feature a 5km run for competitors to take part in.

The race will get underway at 9am and locals are encouraged to get out and support those taking part!

More details here.

2. Cinema

The Talisman Theatre is once again throwing open its doors on Saturday (September 9) for more cinema.

This month's showing will feature Minari - written and directed by Isaac Chung.

The film sees a Korean-American family moves to Arkansas in search of their own American Dream.

With the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving, grandmother, the stability of their relationships is challenged even more in this new life in the rugged Ozarks, testing the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home.

What makes this masterpiece is the way the characters are sketched and how they connected together when they encounter tough times in their struggling life.

More details here.

3. Bloody Kenilworth

Tales of Kenilworth's gruesome past will be told in a guided history tour to mark the launch of a new book detailing the unfortunate ends of former residents of the town.

Adam Wood, a local historian who specialises in Victorian true crime, has written Bloody Kenilworth, a pocket-sized walking guidebook which details various stories of how normal people in Kenilworth met their untimely deaths, and guides readers through the town step by step so they can visualise how these incidents happened.

To launch the book, Adam will lead a guided tour of the route covered in part of the book on Thursday September 7.

It will start at 6.30pm from Kenilworth Books in Talisman Shopping Centre, passing by Kenilworth railway station before finishing at St John's Church at 7.30pm on Warwick Road.

Following the walk, Adam will give a further talk at the church about his work and will be signing books for anyone wishing to buy one.
