Road closures confirmed for Kenilworth Half Marathon

Road closures have been announced as the Kenilworth Half Marathon returns for its 23rd instalment next Sunday (September 10).

The annual event - organised by Kenilworth Runners - will see over 600 runners take to the local streets.

The route will take competitors from the centre of town, on a single lap from the town centre down to Beausale and back.

This year's event will also feature a 5km run for competitors to take part in.

The race will get underway at 9am, and the following road closures have been confirmed:

From 5am - 2pm Sunday 10 September

  • Warwick Road, junction with Abbey End Car Park and Barrowfield Lane and junction with Harger Court

From 8.30am - 1pm Sunday 10 September

  • Borrowell Lane
  • Barrowfield Lane
  • Greville Road
  • Brookside Avenue
  • Castle Hill
  • Castle Road
  • Brookside Road
  • Fishponds Road
  • John O'Gaunt Road
  • Rounds Hill
  • Rouncil Lane
  • Woodcote Lane
  • Warwick Road
  • Siddley Avenue
  • Randall Road
  • Dirty Lane
  • Red House Farm Lane
  • Kites Nest Lane
  • Honiley Road
  • Beausale Lane

In 2022, over 600 runners took to the local roads, with Kenilworth Runner's Paddy Roddy crossing the line first, completing the course in a race record time of 1:07:31.

Kelly Edwards was the first woman to cross the line. The Leamington C&AC runner completed the course in 1:21:06.
