1. Gin, Tonic & Tales

"From patrolling the streets of Sangin to crawling into Insurgent underground tunnel networks in the mountains of Afghanistan".

East Chase Distillers co-founder Richie will take guests through a raw and personal account of his life within UK Special Forces on Saturday (October 14) - over a glass or two of Heritage Gin.

From his early days in the Royal Marines; to embarking, at the age of 22, on the ruthless selection process required in joining Special Forces; losing friends in both training and combat; conducting night-raids within the Insurgent Mountain strongholds of Afghanistan.

2. Great Kenilworth Bake Off

The 'Great Kenilworth Bake Off' is set to be hosted by local housing developer Miller Homes on Saturday (14 October).

The event will feature a live dessert and pastry demonstration by renowned and award-winning chef, Michael Gordon, happening from 12 noon.

There will be a kids competition to for the best decorated gingerbread man and a raffle with some baking themed prizes all in aid of the Kenilworth Centre.

Guests are invited to explore the exclusive Southcrest Rise development, off Glasshouse Lane, tuck into sweet treats as prepared by Michael, and speak to the Miller Homes team on site.

3. Cinema Paradiso

Cinema Paradiso comes to the Talisman Theatre on Saturday at 7.30pm.

"A CELEBRATION OF YOUTH, FRIENDSHIP, AND THE EVERLASTING MAGIC OF THE MOVIES"

Cinema Paradiso is a heartwarming family movie and a classic of late 20th-century cinema.

With a beautiful score by Ennio Morricone, it's a winner of awards across the world including Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, 5 BAFTA Awards including Best Actor, Original Screenplay and Score, the Jury Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and many more. If you've seen it before you'll want to see it again and if you've never seen it, here's your chance to right that wrong !
