Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. Duck Race

The popular Boxing Day (December 26) duck race is sent to return to Kenilworth's Abbey Fields this Christmas.

Organised by Kenilworth Lions, the fundraising event at Finham Brook will get underway at 12noon.

Around 1,500 ducks will be tipped into the brook and race downstream, with each duck available for 'sponsorship' for £1.

Space will however be restricted due to the ongoing works in Abbey Fields.

Kenilworth Lions will also be running its second corporate Duck Race, having first launched the initiative in 2021.

2. Cyclo-Cross

Running at the same time as the duck race is the annual cyclo-cross in Kenilworth Common.

Organised by the Coventry Road Club, this year's will be the 69th instalment of the race.

The event will see one lane of Common Lane closed during the day for the oldest cyclo-cross race in the UK.

As in previous years, riders will start at the centre of the lower common, before heading out onto the roads and up Common Lane.

The event will start at 11am for under 10's, followed by under 12's at 11.15am.

The main event will then get underway from 12noon and will last an hour.

3. Christmas Market

Head to East Chase Distillers on Friday (22 December) for a night of gin and tapas!

Tapas Zampa will head to East Chase Farm venue from 4pm to 9pm.

"Come along and enjoy some authentic Spanish tapas made fresh to order, whilst enjoying our range of delicious gins," organisers said.
