UPDATE: 16 year-old arrested in connection with armed robbery in Kenilworth

Warwickshire Police has arrested a 16 year-old boy from Kenilworth in connection with an armed robbery in the town yesterday (February 13).

Numerous police units were called to Moseley Road Post Office at 9.00am yesterday morning after reports came of a man entering the store, threatening staff with a knife and then leaving with cash from the till.

Police launched an appeal for witnesses yesterday afternoon.

However, today it has been announced that an arrest has been made in connection with the incident.

A police statement at 9.40am today (February 13) said: "A 16-year-old boy from Kenilworth has been arrested.

"He is currently in police custody."
