UPDATE: Police appeal for witnesses following armed robbery in Kenilworth

Warwickshire Police is now appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in Kenilworth this morning.

The robbery took place at around 9.00am at the Post Office in Moseley Road this morning (February 12).

A man walked into the store and threatened staff with a knife before leaving with cash from the till.

Detective Sergeant Ollie Deakin from Warwickshire Police CID said: "Thankfully nobody was injured in this incident but this was a frightening experience for the victim.

"We're keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time."

A spokesperson from Kenilworth and Warwick Rural Police has said: "Numerous police units attended and thankfully no one was hurt and enquires are ongoing."

Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident 65 of 12 February 2021, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
