Here are our top picks for the coming days.

1. Big Brick Build

Bring history to life at the new 'Big Brick Build' at Kenilworth Castle

For the first time, families can put their toy brick-building skills to the test at Kenilworth Castle by building a garden fit for a queen – as Robert Dudley tried to do to impress Elizabeth I more than 450 years ago.

Once visitors have worked their magic, the Castle’s brick builders will put the creations together, creating an amazing mini version of the gardens, for all to enjoy.

The Big Brick Build runs between Friday 29 March and Sunday 7 April, 10am to 5pm.

2. Talisman Fringe

It is 'Animal Magic' at this month's Kenilworth Fringe!

"The theme for April is 'Animal Magic' and it promises to be a fantastic celebration of the performing arts," organisers said.

"We are bringing you; comedy, dance, drama, poetry, and yet more comedy.

"We're thrilled that this Fringe will bring together one of our longest-serving and talented performers, Anne Bennett who will be performing in the premiere of 'Tuppence' as well as welcoming new performers to the Fringe stage across the evening too."

Head to the Holiday Inn for either the 7.30pm or 9pm performance tonight (April 4)

3. Live Steam

Local residents will be able to see steam power in action on the mainline this Sunday (April 7) as The Shakespeare Express makes its way through South Warwickshire again.

The express will travel from Birmingham Moor Street to Stratford-upon-Avon twice during the day.

On each trip the express - hauled by either 7029 Clun Castle or 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe - will pass south through Henley-in-Arden, returning through Hatton on the journey back into Birmingham.

4. Motor Museum

Explore some of Britain’s fastest cars at the British Motor Museum, 23 March to 14 April

Go on a racing driver tour where children can join characters for an interactive journey through the Museum’s collections.

Along the way, they will learn more about some of the Museum’s greatest speed machines, and what makes a car truly fast.

Other activities include a challenge to the find the fastest car in the Museum, along with the option to decorate their own mini car in the Learning Hub.

Visitors during Easter weekend (29 March to 1 April) can also enjoy an Easter egg hunt around the Museum’s collection.
