Sainsbury's has said it is "working hard" to fix the damaged wall in the car park at its Kenilworth store.

The wall directly opposite the entrance to the Warwick Road shop was partially brought down over the weekend, and is currently taped off and surrounded by plastic barriers.

While the supermarket chain said it will fix the wall, it has not given a date for when the repair works will take place.

A Sainsbury's spokesperson simply said to Nub News: "We're aware of the damaged wall in the car park of our Kenilworth store.

"We are working hard to resolve this and we apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Local residents have taken to social media to debate how many times the car park wall has been damaged over the past few years.

Sainsbury's did not offer any explanation as to how the wall was brought down.
