Road closure details have been confirmed for Kenilworth's two Christmas Light Switch On Events this weekend.

The weekend's festivities will get underway on Friday (November 28) with the High Street Switch On, which is this year being organised by Kenilworth Town Council and the local community.

This will then be followed by the event on Warwick Road on Sunday (November 30) - organised by Warwick District Council.

Friday's event will run from 5pm to 8pm, and High Street will be closed from the crossroads with Hill Street to Malthouse Lane from 3pm to 10pm.

For the Sunday event, road closures will be in place from 8am to 11pm.

The following closures will be in place:

  • Warwick Road: from its junctions with Randall Road to Abbey End
  • Smalley Place: from its junction with Barrowfield Lane and Abbey End
  • Station Road: from its junction with Abbey Court and Warwick Road
  • The Square: Warwick Road to Abbey End
  • Abbey End: from its junction with Car Park to rear of shops to The Square
  • Barrow Road: closed at its junction with Warwick Road

The second instalment - starting at 1pm - will have fairground rides available from midday as well as entertainment on stage from 4pm to 8pm.

Both events will be free.
