Push for more signs at ‘messy’ Kenilworth junction

Town councillors are still waiting for new signs to be installed at a "messy" Kenilworth, which was previously described as an "accident waiting to happen".
The new road layout around Thickthorn Gardens on Glasshouse Lane was finished last year, adding a new pedestrian crossing and a tighter bend on the busy road.
Speaking at last week's Kenilworth Town Council meeting, Cllr Richard Dickson said: "Some highways issues to update people on.
"I don't know whether you would describe it as a 'messy junction' - at Aldridge Way and Glasshouse Lane - where we were told back in June there was going to be yet more signage put in there to make it safer.
"They are still working on it but they do not have a timetable yet at county highways.
"We will keep pushing on that."
Thickthorn Gardens is one of a number of major housing estates being built in Kenilworth. It forms part of the 550 homes being built on land between Leamington Road and Glasshouse Lane.
Cllr Dickson last year criticised the new road layout as being "dangerous".
