Officers have urged residents to respect the safety of their neighbours after a number of anti-social behaviour calls have been made from local flats.

Police have responded to multiple reports of unauthorised visitors accessing apartment blocks and said tenants need to make sure they know who they are letting into the building.

Residents have been reminded that: "Everyone has the right to live in peace and enjoy their space without being disrupted by anti-social behaviour."

A Kenilworth and Warwick Rural Police spokesperson added: "We have had a few calls regarding anti social behaviour in Kenilworth and concerns about unwanted visitors gaining entry to residential buildings, being general nuisances.

"Please can this serve as a reminder for those living in flats and apartments to always check before you allow someone access to the building.

"When someone presses the buzzer or dials for attention, please make sure you check first if it's an expected visitor or someone you know.

"There have been occasions whereby residents have given access without checking. This not only causes security concerns but also attracts unwanted anti-social behaviour from those who have no right to be there.

"Please think about your own and everyone else's safety and look before you allow someone in."
