Plans for The Ivy in South Warwickshire moving forward
By James Smith 4th Apr 2026
Plans for The Ivy to open in South Warwickshire have moved forward as a licence application has been submitted for the new eatery.
The historic restaurant chain announced plans to bring its contemporary British Cuisine to Bell Court in Stratford-upon-Avon earlier this year.
The new restaurant is set to open in the autumn in the building previously occupied by Debenhams.
And now the business has applied to Stratford-on-Avon District Council for a licence to sell alcohol.
If approved, the licence would allow The Ivy to sell alcohol from 8am to midnight every day.

This as well as playing music indoors from 8am to 0.30am.
Locals have until April 13 to comment on the application.
When the news was announced earlier this year, John Stacey, managing director of Blue Coast Capital, owners of Bell Court commented: "With momentum continuing to build, Bell Court is entering an exciting new chapter.
"We are excited to be partnering with The Ivy at Bell Court.
"Autumn 2026 is set to be a defining moment in shaping the destination's future and reinforcing Stratford-upon-Avon's status as a standout location for high-quality dining and leisure experiences."
