A Burton Green road will be closed for five months for HS2 works next week.

Cromwell Lane will shut once again from 8am on Tuesday 7 April until 6pm on Sunday 30 August.

The closure will be in place 24 hours a day.

"We will carry out a final programme of utility connections, reinstate the road and complete the highway surfacing, ready to return Cromwell Lane to the original alignment," HS2 said.

Residents have been told to expect "increased levels of construction activity and some disruption to your travel times".

"Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained throughout the work with a fully signed diversion route," the public notice added.

A diversion will be in place.

The road will be shut over the bridge between the junctions with Red Lane and Hodgetts Lane.

The closure comes on the same day as Dalehouse Lane in Kenilworth shuts for 14 month.
