A new street food restaurant and takeaway which opened in Kenilworth this September has launched a range of Christmas specials in time for the festive period.

Albion Street Kitchen opened for business on September 14 and has already proved a big hit with locals, with its menu packed with pan Asian cuisine, wraps, burgers, wings and loaded fries.

From December 5, the Albion Street eatery will have even more on offer, with it's Christmas specials.

"We are also doing a few new dishes, Christmas specials," owner Joseph Rayappan told Nub News.

"We are doing a festive special Ramen, burgers and wraps. We wanted to get something festive across the range.

"Ramen is brilliant in the winter, it really works, so it is our big focus."

Specials include:

  • Ramen with miso teriyaki turkey - described as "A warm broth - comforting in chilly weather, providing a soothing and nourishing option. Egg noodles in chili miso chicken broth, egg, beansprouts, spring onions, coriander, lime chilli and bamboo shoots"
  • Cranberry turkey burger
  • Crispy honey glazed turkey with sticky rice
  • Parmesan chicken loaded fries

Albion Street Kitchen is also offering gift cards in time for Christmas, which are available in multiples of £10.

Following the awarding of its alcohol licence last month, the restaurant is also now offering a range of beers and wine.

And it will be rolling out a special offer of two main courses, a side and two 187ml bottles of wine for £39, alongside the festive dishes.

"We have got gift cards this year, which people have already started buying," Joseph added.

"They are available in £10 intervals, so £10, £20, £30 and so on. A great little stocking filler."

Albion Street Kitchen was launched by friends, Joseph, Naga and Kumar, a year after they opened Crown Street Food in Lillington, and brings together their 25 years of hospitality experience.

The trio took over at the former Cherry Tree Café after it closed, and spent around four months completely renovating the venue.

The business has also launched a popular breakfast offering, competitively priced compared to other high street venues.

And after a "fantastic" first three months, Joseph was quick to thank the various supporters across the town.

"The feedback has been really good so far and we are already getting regular customers," he said.

"We have a good rating on social media, and people have been very supportive on Facebook.

"It has been great so far.

"Of course when you work for other people you put your heart and soul into what you do, but when it is for yourself you get that extra boost and energy.

"And the positive feedback only adds to that feeling."
