Local roads are set to be closed or disrupted by HS2 in the coming weeks.

The A46 southbound slip road at the Stoneleigh junction is facing overnight closures.

The road will be closed from 8pm to 6am from 29 January to 12 February to allow for "improvements to the verge" ahead of planting in spring, along with some additional drainage work.

Crackley Lane is currently closed for HS2 works.

The first closure began on Monday 12 January and will last until Saturday 7 February 2026. The second closure will be from Monday 2 March to Saturday 28 March 2026.

The road will shut between Blind Lane, Cryfield Grange Road and South Hurst Farm.

There will also be a disruption on the B4115 Ashow Road at the junction of Stoneleigh Road and Birmingham Road.

Four-way temporary traffic lights will be placed on 23 January and will be active between 9.30am and 3.30pm. This will allow for road safety surveys ahead of work in February.

The crossroads will be closed completely on 7 and 23 February from 7am to 2pm for work on streetlighting and road markings.

Meanwhile Waste Lane in Balsall Common is also shut once again.

The high speed rail developer has shut the busy road from 6am on Monday 12 January to 6pm on Sunday 8 February 2026.

Updates to any road closures or disruptions can be found on the HS2 website - https://www.hs2.org.uk/map/search-current-works/
