Two, month-long closures are set to begin this January for HS2 works.

Crackley Lane will once again shut for sustained periods of time in early 2026 as the development of the new rail line continues.

The first closure will be from Monday 12 January 2026 to Saturday 7 February 2026. The second closure will be from Monday 2 March to Saturday 28 March 2026.

The road will shut between Blind Lane, Cryfield Grange Road and South Hurst Farm.

HS2 said: "As we enter the final phasing of works for the permanent realignment of Crackley Lane in Spring 2026, we need to complete final utility connections and carriageway tie in works.

"We will be installing electricity and telephone services and connecting the new road.

"To do these works safely two road closures are required in early 2026."

Once the works are complete the new road will open to the public.
