HS2 has announced another lengthy delay for Waste Lane in Balsall Common.

The high speed rail developer will shut the busy road from 6am on Monday 12 January to 6pm on Sunday 8 February 2026.

The closure will be in place 24 hours per day.

This will follow a week of four-way traffic lights between Tuesday 6 January and Sunday 11 January.

HS2 will be diverting utilities and completing surfacing works.

"Access for residents will be managed by our traffic management team," the closure notice said.

"It will not be possible to allow pedestrians and cyclists through the closure. There will be a fully signed diversion in place to help drivers navigate their way."
