The latest in a series of free art exhibitions in Kenilworth is now available in the old 'Poundland' unit on Warwick Road.

Organised by the group 'Kenilworth Artists' this exhibition will be in place until the beginning of April and shows the work of another five local creatives.

Already in 2021 residents' days have been brightened with a selection of paintings of Kenilworth Castle in January, and then a display by Kenilworth Artists in February.

Now Leanne Simmons, Iris Eisenhart, Mel Dearing, Julie Elliott, and Louise Hutton are all exhibiting a selection of their work in the empty shop window.

The Kenilworth Artists group is formed of local artists and creatives who come together to celebrate all the talent that the town has to offer.

This latest selection has been organised by Jacqui Smithson and other Kenilworth Artists with the help of Becky Webb from the Kenilworth Arts Festival.

Speaking to Kenilworth Nub News Paula Perry of Kenilworth Artists said: "We pull our exhibitions together really quickly these days – the challenges of Covid-19 have meant we've had to be speedy and adaptable with getting our art seen, but we feel it's important to lift people's spirits in these times.

"This was our inspiration, along with trying to support artists within the group, particularly those who rely on the income from their work."

A selection of the items on display can be seen at the top of this page.

This third exhibition of 2021 comes as the latest in a series of installations for Warwick Road this year.

Following Kenilworth Artists' latest set, there will then be a set of photographs on display, followed by an exhibition organised by Nicola Bagga entitled 'Secret Views of Kenilworth'.

Details of how you can get involved in that can be found here.

Nicola, Becky and Jacqui are also working with Kenilworth School with the potential idea of displaying work from A-Level and GCSE students whom have had their exams cancelled for this year.

A summer instalment could also see a celebration for the 125th anniversary of the Kenilworth Lido as well as an exhibition in conjunction with Coventry Artists to tie in with the City of Culture.
