Kinship Workshop are bringing their first event to Kenilworth this year.

Hosted on September 26 and 27, the workshop will be held in a variety of sites within walking distance from Kenilworth.

"Kinship Workshop engages somatic movement practice as a way to meet desire for change and to support active responses to ethical concerns relating to perspectives and treatment of the environment and other animals."

The weekend workshop in Kenilworth is led by two independent facilitators, Tom Goodwin and Katye Coe.

Tom is the founder of Kinship Workshop and has a wide range of experiences in movement exercises and somatic trainings; he completed his training at The Kerulos Center in 2014 studying trans-species psychology and self-determination.

"Activities will include warm-up, and solo, partner and group practices in various locations across the area.

"We will run the workshop with some special alterations to help people feel at ease during the pandemic by following current guidelines on social distancing, and providing individuals with options to distance further if needed."

Lasting from 10am-5pm each day the event costs £70 for both days, 10% of the facilitation fee is always donated to a rotating animal sanctuary charity.

"Kinship Workshop is, in a very ordinary way, about communing or 'being with', so participants should have a curiosity for landscape/ nature/ other animals as well as personal enquiry."

Appropriate adaptations will be made to comply with current Covid-19 government guidance.
