A Kenilworth restaurant has been given permission to install new tables and chairs on the pavement outside.

Nur Nur Paradise, which opened on Warwick Road in November, has been granted a pavement licence, meaning it can now place four tables immediately outside the premises.

As the weather improves, this will allow dinners to enjoy the new eatery's Asian fusion food in the open air.

The licence, granted by Warwick District Council, allows outside seating from 12noon to 10.30pm seven days a week, and follows similar permissions for nearby Pomeroys Bistro and Ego Mediterranean.

"We are really pleased to have been given the licence, and to expand the business even more," owner Lee Wongsalees told Nub News.

"We spent a long time renovating inside the restaurant to create a relaxing and welcoming environment.

"The outdoor seating - for when the weather improves - will only add to that."

The new seating is not the only way the business has tried to diversify its offering, having recently launched a new click and collect service.

Nur Nur Paradise has also launched a new 'Pinto' lunch menu, offering selections of small plates.

"In Thailand it is more traditional to have small plates of a few dishes," Lee explained.

"It helps to balance the flavours and balance the spice of the dishes like that.

"Lots of people in Thailand use these Pinto lunchboxes so that is the inspiration.

"We want people to experience our menu too, so the small dishes are a good way of doing that as well."

The Warwick Road business is also set to launch a weekly competition, offering a prize each week to the child who does the best drawing or colouring in on the menu itself!

And with the Thai fusion eatery now having been open for a few weeks, Lee said he has been really pleased with the support from local people.

"Lots of people have given us great feedback and been very supportive," he said.

"We have had lots of good reviews online, and many people have told us they want us to succeed.

"And even in the first month we have had lots of repeat customers already which is great."
